Shelby Watson-Hampton is a farm girl, the director of a local non-profit, and an active member of the farming community. She also freelances for several agricultural publications, including the Lancaster Farming newspaper and American Agriculturist. Shelby served on the National Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee of the American Farm Bureau Federation from March 2019 - March 2021. Additionally, in March 2022, Shelby was among eight prominent voices in the U.S. food and agriculture sectors to join Solutions from the Land, an agricultural non-profit that proactively engages United Nations agencies and conventions on Climate Smart Agriculture, and that works towards providing farmer input on achieving the UN’s global sustainable development goals.
